The IHCC Discussion List is the best place on the web for a beginner
or the advanced collector to communicate with other fellow hobbyists
for the research and acquisition of various sports collector items.
Although mini helmets are the basis for the club, the IHCC is also a
terrific resource center for related items such as full size
helmets, gumball helmets, pocket pro helmets, batting helmets,
jerseys, pennants, figurines/toys, hats, programs and much more. If
you are a "do-it-yourselfer", the IHCC is the perfect place
to talk with others about obtaining blank shells, stripes, decals,
masks and other hardware.
If you're ready to take your sports collection to the next level,
please join the IHCC by clicking on the "JOIN" helmet to
the left. In conjunction with the IHCC website, the IHCC is an
email-based club. Emails from the club are pecially tagged to your
personal inbox with the "{IHCC}" prefix in the subject
heading.
We want to make the information as accurate as possible, so please
submit pictures to the club following these simple guidelines:
1. Try to send the picture of your helmet in digital format. Scanned
photos do not work well. We would also like to eliminate the use of
helmet photos taken at games.
2. Place the helmet on a white backdrop. This can be done by drapping
a sheet on a table with pillow or book to prop up the back of the
sheet.
3. When shooting the picture, try to get as close to the helmet as
possible (e.g.: 10-12 inches from the helmet). This will capture the
best detail of the helmet.
4. Do not use zooms because as the zoom increases the chances for a
blurry picture increase.
5. Include a description with your photo (Team name, years, shell color,
mask color and stripe colors and widths).
6. Send your photos to the
IHCC
Moderator.
We will touch-up and crop of your photos when necessary. We will no
longer accept PhotoShop manipulated pictures of helmets. We want to
provide accurate and complete helmets. If you happen to have a
better photo than the one that is already on the site, please submit
it to us and it will eventually replace the old one.
When submitting articles to the club please send the piece in either
email, text file or a Word document. Please include your name and
email address so credit can be given to you for your submission.
When submitting info on your fantasy helmets or high school helmets
please follow the same guidelines as the helmet photo requirements
above. With your photo include your name and info about your fantasy
or high school helmets.
When submitting a member profile, please include info about your
collection. If you want to include a picture of yourself, feel free
to do so. If you have a web site please include the URL.
All of this info can be forwarded to the
IHCC
Moderator.
